The Narco AT-50A is a very common transponder, and is an upgrade of the original AT-50. The AT-50A offers basic transponder functionality at a reduced cost (compared to King and Collins).
The AT-50A features:
- 250 watts of transmission power
- 4096 discrete codes
- Mode C compatibility
- TSO'd
You may also be interested in an Encoder to use with this AT-50A. When installed with an Encoder, the AT-50A will report both your position and altitude to ATC (Mode C).
