Comments: The Flat antenna (-00) is needed when the mounting surface is between parallel to the ground and 6 degrees from parallel to the ground in flight.
Comments: The Skewed antenna (-01) is needed when the mounting surface is between 6 and 20 degrees of parallel to the ground in flight.
Comments: The KRA-10 system is designed for aircraft with a 28 V electrical system. You can still use the KRA-10 in a 14 V aircraft, but you will need a voltage converter (King KA-133 or equivalent) to supply it with 28 V electricity.
Comments: There has recently been high demand for the KRA-10 System, and we are working to get more of them certified.

Product Description

This is a 3-piece system, with a KI-250 Indicator, a KRA-10 Receiver / Transmitter, and a KA-131 Antenna to mount on the belly of your aircraft. This system indicates your radar altitude AGL from 20 feet to 2,500 feet.

This system is significantly less expensive than the KRA-10A Radar Altimeter System. On the other hand, the KRA-10 Receiver / Transmitter lacks the newer KRA-10A's ability to connect to a "squat switch" to suppress ground operation.

The KI-250 allows the pilot to set a Decision Height, in altitude AGL. Once you reach this altitude, a light illuminates and a tone sounds. (This is a very good safety aid and backup on an IMC approach.) There is also a self-test function.
