The Collins ADF-650A ADF System is the upgraded ADF from the well-regarded Microline series. This is a solid, dependable ADF package. The difference between the ADF-650A and the ADF-650 is that the ADF-650A uses the RCR-650A ADF Receiver. This model has a number of modifications to boost its sensitivity and reduce interference, compared to the RCR-650 used in the ADF-650 system.
There are three main components to this system:
Collins RCR-650A ADF Receiver
- The RCR-650A is a TSO'd, solid state, panel mounted ADF receiver.
Collins IND-650A ADF Indicator
- The IND-650A is TSO'd and lighted.
Collins ANT-650A Combined Loop / Sense ADF Antenna
- The TSO'd ANT-650A works as both a loop antenna and a sense antenna. There is no need to hang an unattractive and drag-producing long wire antenna on your aircraft.
