Product Description

The Garmin GTX-335 offers a cost-effective, all-in-one solution for meeting the FAA’s ADS-B Out requirement. It combines a Mode S transponder with an internal WAAS GPS Receiver, eliminating the need for a separate GPS unit or complex integration. The GTX-335 will modernize your panel with an ADS-B Out solution, delivering capability, performance, simplicity and compliance.

Reliable Mode S Transponder with 1090ES ADS-B Out
The GTX-335 transmits using 1090 MHz Extended Squitter (1090ES) technology, which is permitted at all altitudes and required for flights above FL180 or in Class A airspace. It broadcasts your aircraft’s flight ID, position, velocity, altitude trend, and heading.  This gives ATC and nearby traffic a clearer picture of your location and intentions. This level of visibility increases situational awareness and contributes to a safer airspace for everyone.

Built-In WAAS GPS Simplifies Installation
One of the standout features of this version of the GTX-335 (P/N: P/N: 011-03300-40) is its integrated WAAS GPS Receiver. This internal GPS source means you don’t need to connect to an external WAAS GPS navigator for an ADS-B position fix. This reduces installation complexity, which is especially helpful in aircraft with limited panel space or older avionics.  (Please note this WAAS GPS is strictly for ADS-B Out, and cannot be used for navigation.)

If you already have a WAAS GPS Navigator which may be used for an ADS-B position fix, this GTX-335 (P/N: P/N: 011-03300-40) may be configured to accept that information, rather than the internal WAAS GPS Receiver.  In this situation, you may specify that you do not need the GTX-335's WAAS GPS Antenna, which will save some money.

Intuitive Display and Controls
Pilots will appreciate the clear, high-contrast display and straightforward operation. The large, bright digital display is easy to read in all lighting conditions. A dedicated VFR button instantly sets the squawk code to 1200, while the numeric keypad makes it quick and easy to enter other Transponder codes. Altitude deviation alerts help you stay on top of assigned altitudes, and timers—count up, count down, flight, and trip—add useful utility to your cockpit workflow.

Useful Data at a Glance
With the right inputs, the GTX-335 can display static outside air temperature and density altitude, offering additional environmental and safety awareness. It also shows encoder-supplied pressure altitude, keeping critical flight data right in front of you.

Compact and Versatile
At just 1.65 inches tall, the GTX-335’s slimline design saves valuable panel space. While it is not a plug-and-play replacement for your Transponder, it may fit in the panel space vacated by your radio.  And the GTX-335 is certainly more capable and reliable than your old Mode C Transponder.

Garmin’s GTX-335 is ideal for pilots seeking an efficient, integrated path to ADS-B Out compliance, especially in aircraft without a WAAS GPS Navigator already installed. With its reliable Mode S performance, built-in WAAS GPS Reciever, and pilot-friendly design, it’s a smart upgrade for modern flying.
