Product Description
The KT-78 is an older King transponder, and that age shows in the reliability.
The KT-78 family of transponders are King's lower power, lower priced models. With 150 watts of transmission power, the KT-78 may operate up to 15,000 feet. If you don't fly higher than that, and don't travel a great distance from ATC radar, this lower-powered transponder may be exactly what you need.
The KT-78 features:
- 4096 discrete codes
- Mode C compatibility
- System test capability
- TSO'd
You may also be interested in an Encoder to use with this KT-78. When installed with an Encoder, the KT-78 will report both your position and altitude to ATC (Mode C).
