The KN-53 is a current production King NAV Receiver that matches the rest of your King radio stack.
This version of the KN-53 does not contain an internal Glideslope Receiver, but there is a version available with Glideslope capability.
This quality unit features 200 NAV channel capability, and the standard easy-to-read King gas discharge display. The display dims automatically in lower light levels.
Other King KN-53 features include:
- Simultaneous display of both active and standby frequencies
- Push button frequency flip-flop
- Solid state design for reliability
- TSO'd
The "non-glideslope" KN-53 may be used with these King indicators that contain an internal VOR/LOC Converter:
- KI-203 VOR/LOC Indicator
- KI-208 VOR/LOC Indicator
- KI-208A GPS/VOR/LOC Indicator
The KN-53 may also be used with an HSI (King's KCS-55A System, for example) with a remote KN-72 VOR/LOC Converter.
