ARC's RT-485B is a solid-state TSO'd NAV/COMM transceiver. The RT-485B uses an electronic digital frequency display. For greater convenience, there are three memory frequencies on both the COMM and NAV sides. This radio is directly compatible with the RT-385A, offering an easy upgrade path.
The ARC (Cessna) RT-485B features:
- 720 COMM channels
- 200 NAV channels
- 7 watts nominal transmission power
- Remote Glideslope channeling (such as the R-443B)
- Remote DME channeling
These are the most common indicators used in RT-485B installations:
For VOR/LOC installations:
- IN-385A VOR/LOC Indicator
- IN-385AC VOR/LOC Indicator (with autocentering)
- IN-485AC VOR/LOC Indicator (with autocentering)
For VOR/LOC/Glideslope installations (requires an R-443B Glideslope Receiver):
- IN-386A VOR/LOC/Glideslope Indicator
- IN-386AC VOR/LOC/Glideslope Indicator (with autocentering)
- IN-486AC VOR/LOC/Glideslope Indicator (with autocentering)
