King's KX-155 has been a proven workhorse NAV/COMM for decades, and they have served many thousands of pilots well.  But these radios are getting older, and the supply of spare parts is shrinking.  The KX-155 will become more difficult and expensive to support in the future.

We have been waiting for a slide-in replacement for the KX-155, and it is finally available. This "next-generation KX-155" is called the KX-200.

The Next-Generation KX-155 Replacement
The King KX-200 is a direct slide-in replacement for the legendary KX-155 NAV/COMM. It is designed to reuse the KX-155's rack and connectors, with minimal downtime and installation cost. With the required voltage-correct Adapter attached, it slides into your existing KX-155 installation and works with your current Indicator and avionics suite.  You don't need to redesign your panel. Just perform the upgrade, and get back to flying!

Full-Featured NAV/COMM Capability
The KX-200 is a complete NAV/COMM radio, with VOR, LOC, and Glideslope capability.  It also offers DME channeling, so if your KX-155 drove your DME, the KX-200 will do the same.  It delivers 6 watts of transmit power at 14 V, and 10 watts at 28 V.

The KX-200 (with Adapter) uses the same Indicator as your already-installed KX-155. You probably already have one of these Indicators in your panel!

Please note that an Adapter is required for the KX-200 to replace the KX-155. Additionally, it must be the correct Adapter for your voltage, because of the wiring differences between 14 V and 28 V KX-155 installations. (Without an Adapter, a KX-200 can only replace an already-installed KX-200.)
